I think someone was a little sensitive, no?

If you were a reader of the site, you would know that I believe that the Wrangler is the only true offroad vehicle offered by Jeep, and that I am not a fan of the Compass or Patriot. Considering that Hummers are just GM products anyways, I could say, one word "Cobalt". Bam!

They don't make the H1 anymore, and it's not really fair to compare an $80,000 vehicle with a $20,000 vehicle. The same goes for the H2. You are basically comparing apples to oranges. Instead of spend $50,000 on an ugly box on wheels, I would rather spend $18,000 on a Wrangler X, spend $10,000 to make it better and then spend the other $22,000 visiting the best trails in the world with my rig.

Oh, and if you look at the title of the site, you may see where the "grudge" comes from.

"Meet Jeep Wrangler’s Ugly Cousin…The Hummer HX"
The tiltle should really be " JEEP got caught with it's pants down at the NAIAS with that RENEGADE POS and got owened by HUMMER"
First off The Jeep is the Biggest POS on the market If it wasn't for the Rubicon then Jeep would never have an Offroad tiltle. It's Glory is only set at the mall. We have been looking at that same design that has NOT evolved since it's exsistence. Aside from having a never evolving BORING ASS design. It's only "claim to fame" suspension set up is quickly losing it's credibility because it's litterly reached it's peek. If you look at the evolution of Off Roading more and more people are building tougher IFS and IRS to make there vehicle conquere its challenges.
The solid axle dinosaur years are almost over.

You seem to have a grudge for some reason, so I won't even bother trying to make sense of what you're saying but I will gladly make one thing very clear. STOCK.

The H2 and H3, even though you might not like to admit it, are, stock to stock, two of the most off road capable vehicles you can get your hands on. Jeep only has the new Rubicon, which I've wheeled with, and it's a great rig, with front locker, SFA, sway bar disconnects. It's one of the best stock vehicles you can buy, but it's only one special version in a lineup of 7 or 8 vehicles.

If you want serious off road capability, STOCK, nothing comes close to the H1, H2, H3 and Rubicon. Period. Everything else, you have to mod like crazy before you would think of trying to attempt any of the trails these can do stock.

Do you notice one important word here? STOCK, we're talking about stock vehicles, I'm sure there are plenty BUILT offroad vehicles that can tackle insane stuff, but they're not street legal either.

I can honesly make this conclusion that JEEP is the Ugliest of the cousins. The way they are headed is just badly down hill, look at the Jeep Renagade concept and there current vehicle lineup.
If the Jeep Renegade is supposed to be a glimps of the evolution of what Jeep is going to be, then I'm sorry (N) thumbs down.
Here's one final example, JEEP COMP-ASS. I think I've made my point.
Thanks
Larry
