For the first time in nearly two decades, the Jeep?ǬÆ brand is creating a special snow-covered driving course, Jan. 26?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú31 in Aspen, Colo., where consumers can get behind the wheel of the iconic Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and test the vehicle’s “go-anywhere, do-anything” capability.
The Jeep Snow Challenge driving course ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù complete with hills and ditches ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù will be open daily during the ESPN Winter X Games, Friday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the event will begin at 9 a.m. Shuttle service to the event will be available at the X Games Spectator drop-off area.
“Jeep is more than a brand, it is a lifestyle and it stands for freedom, mastery, authenticity and adventure,” said Jeff Bell, Vice President ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Jeep. “As incredible athletes of ESPN’s Winter X Games show off their capabilities, the Jeep vehicles will be showing off their capability.”
The Jeep brand will also host a number of additional events for fans and participants at the Winter X Games. Consumers can stop by the Jeep tent located in the ESPN interactive village to see the newest addition to the Jeep lineup, the Jeep Compass, and enter to win prizes.

The website for Autoweek has six images that were captured in a Wendy’s parking lot of the four door Jeep Wrangler. The new edition to the Wrangler family is slated to be unveiled at the auto show in New York. Rumors have the new Wrangler being unveiled on either April 12th or April 13th.

Chrysler is trimming back on the production of some of it’s vehicles. The cuts are a result of the declining sales of some of their vehicles. The majority of the cuts will come from the Dodge brand, and Jeep will receive the least of the cuts. Chrysler has even launched an overstock cash bonus promotion, giving buyers up to $1000 cash back on new Chrysler vehicles.

The Toledo Blade has an article full of reaction to the 2007 Jeep Wrangler. It seems like the overall reaction to the redesign is good. I, am actually quite fond of the newly added size, though like most, the engine will need to be tested.
Scott Yakovich had one mission after driving from Milwaukee to the Motor City: determining whether to replace his 2001 Jeep Wrangler with a new one like it or with the redesigned model that will make its way from Toledo onto dealership lots later this year.

Mr. Yakovich and other Jeep devotees got their first look yesterday at the 2007 Wrangler on the floor of the North American International Auto Show, which runs through Jan. 22. Concepts such as the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, not to mention the upcoming Ford Shelby GT500 convertible and redesigned Toyota Camry, were among some other popular vehicles of the more than 700 on the show floor at the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit.
Though the doors were locked on a 2007 Wrangler Rubicon partially propped on a rock, some show-goers crawled under the frame, peered through windows, and tried to pop the hood to make their assessments.
Mr. Yakovich gave his approval to some new Wrangler features, from a hard top with three removable panels to bilevel heat vents, but he and others were unsure about replacing the existing model?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s 4-liter I-6 engine with a 3.8-liter V-6. Still, it took about a year before Mr. Yakovich got used to the current Wrangler when it came out in 1997 and he was driving a 1995 model, he admitted.
