A new beginning:
I wanted to write and let regular readers know that iwantajeep.net is in the hands of new owners! We wanted to thank the original owner – Matt – for creating his blog and for sharing a tremendous amount of valuable and interesting news to the Jeep community.
While his original intention was to generate interest and a little cash to help him reach his goal of aquiring a new Jeep, we will be taking a little turn on that path and lean more towards simply providing new information to the jeep community. New areas that I hope we will be able to provide are photo logging and writing about Jeep build-outs, we will track down as many Jeep related advertising that I can find, we will also seek out and interview interesting Jeep personalities on the web.
Why would we do this you ask? Well, for one, I like Jeep’s! It may strike you funny that I have never owned one (but it also might not), I do nevertheless really like them and have a favourite – a CJ5 affectionatly known as the ‘purple monster’ – (hoping my friend and former owner will contribute to the blog) I will certainly share a few pictures as soon as I can find them.
Anyway, if you want to see something in particular don’t be afraid to let me know and I will do my best to research and share what I find.

Why Should I Donate?
Because it is my dream to be one of the first Jeep fans in line to purchase a brand spanking new 2007 Jeep Wrangler when they start rolling off of the production line. Being that I can not afford to buy one all by myself, I am asking for your help. If 1500 1485 1479 people donate $20 each I will be able to purchase a 2007 Wrangler.If you would prefer not to donate, I understand. Who wants to give random strangers $20 anyways? If you are not going to be making a donation you can still help the cause by linking to the site or simply telling all of your friends about the crazy guy that is trying to raise enough money to buy a Jeep.
Have You Ever Had a Jeep Before?
Yes. My first Jeep was a 1986 Jeep Cherokee. It met it’s doom when it collided with a Ford F-150. My second Jeep was a 1998 Wrangler TJ. It was Black, and possessed the great power of a four banger engine.My third Jeep was an Orange (Amber Fire Pearlcoat) 2003 Wrangler Sport. It was by far the best car I have ever owned. When I fell in love with my wife, I was forced to get rid of it as we would not need two cars in the Boston area. Ever since the day that I handed the keys over to the new owner, I have vowed to return to Jeep nirvana. The rumors, and then the announcement of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler have only pushed this vow to the forefront of my everyday life.
How Much Do You Plan to Raise?
I am currently planning on raising $30,000. That is really just an estimate, since no one knows how much this model will cost. I am guessing that I am aiming slightly higher than the actual cost.
