Ralph Gillies, the man who created the most awesome Chrysler 300C, has moved over to control of the designs of the Jeep brand. This guy is pretty much a celebrity in the world of vehicle design. Hopefully his talents can serve Jeep well.
Gillies has been much-acclaimed for the 300C, which has made him one of the few car designers to achieve near-celebrity status, at least in the US, where the 300C has proved popular among high-profile actors, rappers and sports stars. He joined Chrysler in 1992.
Senior Chrysler design chief Trevor Creed said: “Ralph has emerged as a true talent, not only in our organisation but in the automotive community. He is a reflection of the company’s positive momentum and its deep bench of talent.”
