Jeep Wrangler As a Moving Vehicle

We’ve been moving recently, and that has meant that a lot of cargo has been going into the Rubicon. Unfortunately, Jeep Wranglers were not really meant for use as moving vehicles. The openings to put boxes in don’t exist, at least not without taking a window or two out.

If you plan on moving, I would rent a larger vehicle for fear of scratching one of the windows. Luckily we didn’t scratch any, but a significant chance was there.

I used my 2007 Unlimited as a moving vehicle recently, when my daughter wanted to move out of her college apartment and with the hard top on and the rear seats folded down the amount of space was impressive. I wound up making less trips than expected simply because the Jeep could hold so much. It had more room than my old 1996 Cherokee which was our previous moving vehicle of choice. 🙂

Now, with the soft top on, it’s a pain in the butt because that rear window doesn’t make for easy access.
