What to Do?

With summer approaching the desire for a Jeep Wrangler is growing every day. The desire to drive down the highway with no top (on the Jeep, not my belly) is reaching a fever pitch. The debate of whether to purchase a 2006 on the cheap or a 2007 continues. More than likely, I’ll be going for a 2006 on the cheap. It will make it much easier for me to make the needed goal. I am going to start pinching my pennies and devise a way to obtain said Jeep. Now the question becomes, do I go for a 2006 Sport, Rubicon or Unlimited? The decisions are oh so confusing. I like the Sport, purely for the price if anything else. The Rubicon would also be a great purchase, but it may be too much cash for myself. You could always donate, and help out if you so choose.

I’m in the same boat. I normally buy vehicles a few years old. I could pick up a nice 04 Unlimited for around $17500 or pay $24000+ for the new 07. If I get a new one it will be a bottom of the line one. The used one will have more options but won’t be a 4 door. On the other hand it will be the more classic Jeep with the straight 6 and all metal body.

I agree. I have always had a thing for new vehicles, simply because of the warranty.
